Quinceañera Celebrations at St. Dominic Catholic Church

A Quinceañera is a beautiful Catholic tradition that celebrates a young woman's fifteenth birthday and her commitment to continue living her faith as a disciple of Jesus Christ. At St. Dominic Catholic Church, we are honored to accompany families in this special milestone through prayer, spiritual formation, and a meaningful celebration centered on the Holy Mass.

Our Quinceañera preparation program helps young women deepen their relationship with God, renew their baptismal promises, and embrace their role within the Church. Preparation includes participation in faith formation, parish life, service to others, and completion of the parish-approved spiritual preparation program.

Quinceañera celebrations are typically scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays and include a rehearsal prior to the ceremony. During the celebration, the Quinceañera offers a prayer of dedication, renews her baptismal promises, and may receive traditional religious symbols such as a Bible, rosary, medal, crown, or prayer book. Family and friends are encouraged to participate in the liturgy through readings and prayer.

To celebrate a Quinceañera at St. Dominic, families should begin the process at least six months in advance. Registered and active parishioners are given priority, and all sacramental and preparation requirements must be completed before the celebration.
