Secular Franciscans are lay people who pattern their lives after Christ in the spirit of St. Francis. They live ordinary lives in the world rather than in religious communities, and may be married or single, women or men, in all walks of life. There is a period of initial formation and discernment, after which those called to the Franciscan way of living will profess and become lifelong Secular Franciscans.

Life in fraternity is an essential aspect of the Secular Franciscan vocation. Fraternity is a community of love where the brothers and sisters develop their sense of Church and the Franciscan call. Our local St. Dominic fraternity serves the parish in many different ways, including pro-life ministry efforts, feeing the poor, singing in the choir, teaching, and more.
